January Intuition + Visionboard

2021 was about Intuition. A single word designated as a compass to help me manifest my goals and direction.

intuition: noun the ability to understand something instinctively, without the need for conscious reasoning. "we shall allow our intuition to guide us"

Focusing on starting the year slower. Making sure the balance is right between work and life and establishing daily rituals that can lead to a better lifestyle in general - good habits even. For a lot of last year I was waaaay out of kilter. Not this year.

This month, starting slow, my areas of focus are:

Practice daily rituals - journaling, hydration and gratitude.

Eat Clean - cutting back on the sugar baby (I cannot/will not quit chocolate entirely)

Strive for rich sleep - 8 hours - no messin’

Practice self care - skincare and meditation

Express Creativity - give myself permission to doodle more and space to work on all important self initiated projects

Find Balance - seperate work and life (the golden goose this one)

January in reflection

If this month was about recognising what my inner self was asking for - I can wholeheartedly say I’ve met myself right where I need to be. And while I’ve not been able to change some of the things I’ve already committed to, I recognise what I need to do in order rebalance and reevaluate to get where I want to be.

It’s taken quite a bit of introspective thought, a lot of journalling and some tough questions. And thanks to some awesome content - thanks @lucysheridan and my fabulous Creative Coach @Lauren.osullivan_ - I’ve gotten to a place I feel ready to pivot from.

I’ve kept promises to myself with a twice-daily skin routine that I actually look forward to (and am already seeing the benefits from), have expressed myself and given less f**ks about putting my personal creative work out there, eaten somewhat cleaner (No booze. And no - I will never give up chocolate) but have certainly kept up with some of the rituals of meditation and sleep.

The areas where I have struggled - I now realise are the ones where I’ve not given myself the space to be able to do them properly… either through giving away my time when I should be protecting it or from a full plate.

I’ve ended the month feeling optimistic, grateful and excited for the months ahead (which for January in a Global pandemic isn’t too shabby) and moves me perfectly onto next months theme for focus… (See February)
