THE STARS OF THE SHOW:

Neon fireplace & VINTAGE BRASS BEAUTY

Acquired for free on Facebook marketplace this fireplace surround was lovingingly restored and destined to be the show stopper of the studio. He’s an old boy, and we’re fairly confident the paint is holding him together.

Think Bing Crosby’s White-Christmas-cosy-meets-neon-safari-jungle. Paired with a bold not-so-subtle chevron, it’s defiantly a statement piece.

Someone recently asked ‘Why a fireplace in a studio?’ We say ‘Why the f**k not?’

The vintage brass fire is almost as old as me (careful now) coming from eBay for a grand total of £10. It’s lovely owners told me they’d had it installed when they’d first moved to their forever home over 30 years ago and it was all on trend.

The coals are individual glass pieces and after a bit of a clean and a PAT test, it glows and heats the studio as good as the day it was installed. Sexy AF.

The ‘chair of dreams’

Aptly named after a Facebook marketplace collection faux-pas, this gorgeous piece was tickled with the neon stick.

It’s not really a chair for sitting on, not even for Moo. We think of it as more an objet d'art.

Ewon-Tusk

This lad was being advertised on the local village banter page for free before a final destination of the tip. Obviously he fits right in with the tigers and now helps balance our tea cups and Vogues.

He’s only sporting one tusk - hence the name.

We're only getting started on the studio but do check back to see the pieces we are giving a second life to and hear their unique stories.

You can also check it out on Instagram, naturally.
