Agencies

Do you travel? If so, how far? Will you come to our studio?

In this World of remote working, I usually work based out of my own studio. My clients are from all over the globe.

I live in the glorious greenery that is Huddersfield, and so can visit or attend meetings in studios around the North West area. As long as you have a kettle.

How do we book you - what’s your availability?

Simply give me a call or drop me a line. I'll be able to let you know what my schedule is like and we can talk rate and all the details. 

Will you attend client meetings on request?

Absolutely. These are included within your booking time. Just make sure you give me plenty of notice.

Do you present to clients?

Hell yes. After over 17 years’ agency side I’ve been in the thick of it and will present my or the team’s work to your client in whatever guise you require. (I draw the line at fancy dress though.)

Will you lead a project?

Yes. I’ve been brought in to run and head up creative teams, lead large scale projects and managed teams successfully, remotely and internally. I’ve been a creative director at a number of agencies in my time before going independent, so am happy to wrangle.

Do you come with your own machine and CC licence?

I certainly do. All the gear and the ideas. Get me.

Are you insured?

Yes – all the relevant cover, PI, GDPR. If you have any other questions just give me a shout.

How do we pay you?

I invoice on a 30-day payment agreement at the end of the booking or monthly for longer term contracts. 


Commercial

Is it just you?

Not necessarily - after years of working in agencies I've a little black book that bursting with amazing talent that I lean upon to expand the studio as needed, meaning I have photographers, retouchers, copywriters, artworkers, strategists and stylists at my fingertips. 

That's the nice thing about being small and agile. I can form the perfect collaborative to suit your project and budget.

Do you have photographers, producers, art workers?

After over 16 years’ agency side I’ve a little black book thats bursting with talent that I lean upon and bring in for larger projects. I work with some brilliant talent which allows me to scale up as you need. Champion.

Can you work with an existing team?

Yes. I’ve been brought in to run and head up creative teams, lead large scale projects and managed teams successfully, remotely and internally.

How do we pay you?

I invoice on a 30-day payment agreement at the end of the booking or can work on a retainer basis for for longer term contracts. 

Are you insured?

Yes – all the relevant cover, PI, GDPR and so on. If you have any other questions just give me a shout.


Branding

Why don’t you do packages? Everyone else seems to?

Because I don’t follow the herd, and you’re not a pigeon. (Trust me, I’ve a point here) And you shouldn’t be pigeonholed. In all my years of experience in branding clients, no two have ever been the same. There’s no cookie cutter approach, I deal with each branding requirement as a bespoke project and guide you through a tailored process. I start where you are every time with no assumptions about what your brand or business needs. Not everyone needs a snazzy business card, some require more strategy, some already have it nailed.

How long does branding typically take?

Hang on, let me find my piece of string… it depends entirely on where you are at and where you need to be. It’s an important process that should never be rushed, so if you’re wanting a brand bashed out in two days – I am not your gal. Brilliant branding cannot be created at that speed. If someone says they can do - then you’re not getting the time or space you and your brand deserves. I don’t deal in ready-made templates or ‘off the shelf’ designs that look like everyone else’s on Pinterest or Instagram. You know the ones I’m talking about. I only do bespoke.

Why do you only take on a limited number of branding clients a year? Are you picky? How do you choose?

Due to the breadth of commercial and agency clients I work with, I can only take on an exclusive number of branding clients. This is so I can be dedicated to the creative process and you get the very best of me. I’m often booked in advance so please get in touch about the waitlist.

I work with people and businesses who share my values and approach and want to make a difference in their field. So if we’re a match then let’s be bold!

How long until you start my project?

As soon as you get in touch I’ll be able to give you an indication of when we can begin and the timescales we can work to. 

What’s the process?

If you hadn't sensed it by now, my approach is pretty down-to-earth, I don’t do fluff, so put bluntly:

You get in touch > I send you a discovery survey > We have a meeting > We’re a match > I provide a bespoke proposal and costing for you > You pay a deposit > The magic begins.

Do you have a niche?

Ooh what a buzzword. I’m all for a niching, but I’m here for the values and bold work. I specialise in branding and packaging for luxury and FMCG, with Global experience in food, drink, interiors, health and beauty. For me, it’s about working with creative brands that want to make a difference in their field. This means I’ve worked for medical clients who want to go against the grain, to wellbeing and beauty brands that want to cut through the bulls**t, to be clear and concise in their approach and expression.

I’m not sure I need full branding? I just want a logo? Can I pay you to do that?

I firmly believe there’s more to every brand than ‘just a logo’. My process and design services are built on years of experience – creating and evolving brands all the way from ideation, naming and strategy, right to the final finished assets. However, I do appreciate that you may need help with something that isn’t a full brand job. I can cost for this individually meaning no foraging through fiver for a designer or scouting bark for a unicorn of a creative. Winner.

Do you work with copywriters, photographers, retouchers and so on?

After working in industry for so many years my little black book is bursting with talent from every discipline. I work with a talented selection of freelancers allowing me to provide whatever you might need. 

Once you’ve nailed my branding are you available for other work?

Yes! I’m proud to say that 95% of my clients become long term, and I continue to support them as they require. This can be anything from printed collateral to new ideas and strategy as their brand grows. 

I want to work with you on other ideas – how do I do that?

My Bolt from the Bold offering is perfect for this. It gives smaller brands and business the ability to book me like the big boys do for my time and expertise. Launching early 2022. Watch this space.

You look expensive, I’m not sure I can afford you. Can I still work with you?

It’s fair to say I’m not the cheapest out there and I’m proud of that because it’s based on years of industry experience, learning my craft, and gathering insight and expertise for Global agencies and brands. It’s why I work at speed and efficiently – you’re buying into years’ worth of experience and skill - as well as your brand project.

Do you manage social media accounts?

No. But I’ve got a woman that does. Clever eh? My studio space is shared with such a talent who will be able to take my creative vision and make it a reality with all the bells and whistles. I can supply strategy, help you define your content pillars and creative direction, and design style, but I don’t physically post or manage your social media. It’s enough to manage my own and Moo’s

Do you do payment plans?

On agreement of the quote and a start date I’ll ask you for a 25% deposit to secure my time. After that we’ll agree a payment structure. Don’t worry, all this information is included in documentation that will be sent over to you with your proposal.
